It is not always easy to find information on how to come to Bardia National Park So here you can find more information.
• From Kathmandu
There are regular flights from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj (less then an hour), where you can get a pickup or a local bus until Ambasa or Thakurdwara (2-3 hours drive).
There are multiple buses with or without A/C from Kathmandu to Ambasa or Thakurdwara (approx. 18 hours). The bus normally leaves from Naya Bus Park around 14p.m.

• From Pokhara
There are regular domestic flights from Pokara to Nepalgunj, Nepalgunj (less then an hour), where you can get a pickup or a local bus until Ambasa or Thakurdwara (2-3 hours drive).
Buses with and without A/C and non A/C are leaving from Pokhara everyday from Prithvi Chowk. The drive starts in the afternoon and lasts for about 16 hours.

• From Lumbini
How to come to Bardia from Lumbini? Busses leave from Butwal bus station. There, you have two optionsFind the bus that goes to the west border called Mahendranagar. Get in and get out at Ambasa.
Or find a bus that goes to Nepalgunj and get down at Kohalpur. From Kohalpur, take another bus to Ambasa.

The trip should take around 7 hours.
• From India
If you enter Nepal from the western border (Banbasa/Mahendranagar), you can take a local bus until Ambasa (4h) , or rent a jeep (3,5 h).
If you cross the border from Sonauli, take a local bus or a taxi to Butwal bus station (30 minutes) where buses leave to Ambasa. (If you chose to travel by day on this route, you may not find a direct bus, and the journey can be a bit longer.)
